About Mechanical:

      Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1982 with an annual intake of 60 students. The department, with lofty ideals, march towards excellent records both on curricular and co-curricular activities / services to the students and society for the past 4 decades successfully. The Alumni of this department occupy prestigious positions in various organisation in India and Abroad, Defence services and State Government services, and Public sector undertakings.

      Mechanical Engineering Department has well qualified, highly experienced dedicated and result oriented faculty members, and technical staffs. The department has full-fledged laboratory facilities. The students are given trainings in the core areas of the curriculum and further beyond.

      During the winter and summer vacation periods, students are sent for industrial trainings in public sector and private organizations. To have an upto date practical knowledge, industrial visits are arranged to the students every semester. Students are motivated to participate in curricular and co-curricular activities within and outside the institution. Career guidance, Personality Development and Soft skills inputs are given to students of every batch regularly.

      On its way to avalanche of success, The department of mechanical engineering has produced a number of state top rankers in board examinations, by which quality is assured to a greater extent. Many of the Alumni have turned out to be successful entrepreneurs, setting an example for the upcoming generation of students.

      The Alumni are having excellent connection with the department by periodically visiting the Institution for Alumni meets, delivering Guest Lectures to current students and support the needy students.
